We got to know Annie & Gus (who live in LA) through candid email exchanges, a fun-filled Skype double date and over afternoon snacks at Fosters. You get to know them (a bit!) through the highlights film we’ve created of their wedding day. Annie & Gus completely personalized their wedding, and we aimed to carry their personality into their highlights film. We used the sweet song, “Married Life”, from UP because it’s one of Annie & Gus’ favorite films, and we felt it matched the sweet sentiment of the ceremony and the intimate moments before. The song has a storybook quality to it, which definitely fit the aesthetic of their day. One thing about Annie & Gus is that they’re not afraid to channel their inner child. A few fun things to look out for:
-The congratulatory poster that was actually signed by Miss Piggy & Kermit (!)
-Their muppet-inspired cake and the equally playful cupcakes.
-A fedora-donned entrance to the reception, compliments of Indiana Jones (Gus’ favorite movie). *Their first dance was to a song from Toy Story!
-This couple is not shy in front of the camera. Check out the footage from their photo booth. Props to our new friends Brett & Jessica for enabling this craziness!
Annie & Gus, your wedding celebration was obviously a labor of love for the two of you. Thank you so much for trusting us to document it in a way that was true to you. We only wish LA were closer…
