Nick & Emily : Wedding Highlights : Salter’s Point, Massachusetts

Oh golly, I don’t even know where to start with these two. We first got to know Emily & Nick through their candid + detailed response to the questionnaire we send to inquiring couples. They shared so many details that by the end of the email, Philip and I wanted these two as pals. We couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding! They talked about their long relationship and how it has remained through college, grad school, different time zones and life stages. They candidly shared their hopes for their wedding day, the meaningful choice behind the location of their wedding, and what they hoped we’d capture for them. In getting to know Nick & Emily over the last year, this openness created such a perfect environment for sharing their wedding day. When we arrived in Salter’s Point on one VERY hot Massachusetts summer day, we hugged our dear friends and got to work documenting their special weekend.

Along the way, we got to work with a whole new crew of wedding artists (please check out their websites, linked below). It was our first time working alongside the talented Josephine & Thad Sittenfeld of Jospehine Photography. Emily mentioned early in our process that she thought we’d get along beautifully with this couple and she was absolutely correct! Thanks, Jo & Thad, for sharing some gorgeous shots with us, and for keeping us smiling til the end of the day.

In an early blog post (click HERE), I shared our fun experience working with Joey Scott & The Connection, the band responsible for motivating the awesome dance floor moves in this film. Truly, everyone the couple curated for their wedding day was top-notch and so kind to us; thanks!

Ok, enough chatting. We hope you will enjoy Emily & Nick’s seaside wedding film. We sure did enjoy making it:

sarah der! - Beauuuuuutiful. Love, love, love how sweet and genuine this couple is! Here are a few of my favorite things, in no particular order:
1. The Flash Moms with boas.
2. The daytime tent flashing to nighttime tent.
3. THE MUSIC. Such, such fitting music choices.
4. Her dress.
5. His red hair.
6. All the awesome dancing.
7. The sweet vows!!!!!!!!

Emily - Em, the boa dance was a surprise “flash mom” that my mom and her friends had organized over the course of the spring. You don’t know this but we are eternally grateful to you for introducing us to Inkspot Crow through your blog!

Em - Beautiful work, you guys! Love that Sperry tent, and I’m extremely intrigued by the choreographed dance with boas!!

Graham - Another wonderful video you two! I love the song choices. And this wedding looked amazing! Love it!!!
